Avoiding the Fatal Pitfall of Setting Goals

Once you have a few goals in mind, you must take certain steps to make sure reaching them is possible. When you are planning out your goals, make sure you avoid the fatal pitfall of goal setting.

ASKING THE WRONG QUESTIONS
Once you think of something you want to accomplish, make sure you don't dive into all the wrong questions.

'How in the world can I do this?'
'Where will I get all this information?'
'What if I fail?'

As soon as you ask yourself these destructive questions, your goal will leap farther and farther from you grasp. If you don't believe in yourself, who will? You must be sure to start off on the right foot, and make reaching goals a fun and exciting adventure.

How can you be sure to sidestep this pitfall? The answer is simple to do, and more enjoyable than the above option.

ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS
Think about the good things that will come with your goal.

'How can I break this goal down into smaller, more manageable parts?'
'Where am I going to spend all of this money once I'm finished?'
'How can I fail?' -- You can't.

If these are your thoughts, then you're on your way to success! It is not uncommon for someone to create an exciting goal, and then beat it down with negative questions. When they are done, nothing is left. Now that you know what questions to ask, you will be sure to swing right over that pitfall, and into a happier and fuller life!

Ask the right questions, and you'll find the right answers.
