We all want more energy, but we don't always know how to
get it. Some days are up, and others are down. The
following tips can help you keep the good days coming,
and keep the bad days away.
HEALTHY EATING
Food affects the body in many ways. Skipping a meal here
and there can really decrease our productivity. When you
don't give your body what it needs, it can't give you
what you want.
Maintaining a healthy diet will help to keep your energy
up throughout the entire day. Skipping meals can leave
you feeling tired and dreary, so it is important to make
the time to eat healthy meals during the day.
EXERCISE
If you are already exercising, good for you! Keep up the
great work and motivate others around you to start. If,
on the other hand, you haven't started 'yet', then now
is the best time.
You don't have to begin by running marathons or bench
pressing 300 lbs. Start slow and easy. You can take
light jogs, or just a walk around the block. Any
exercise is good exercise, and the way to get a real
program started is to build slowly, adding a little each
day.
SLEEP
It is very important to give your body rest. It can
really take a beating during the day, and without time
to recuperate, the next day will be even harder.
The exact amount of sleep we require varies from person
to person. Try your best to get 8 hours of sleep a
night. Some days maybe more, and some less. This is OK
as long as you are averaging about 8 hours.
HAVE FUN
The importance of having fun each day cannot be
overstated. A streak of long days will leave
you looking back on a less than happy week. Find
time to relax and have fun.
Play with your kids, spend time with friends,
or just take some time for yourself. After a day
at work, you need some fun to help you unwind
and to remember the simple pleasures in life.
Eat healthy, exercise, get sleep and have fun. Your body will
repay you with the energy and motivation you are looking
for everyday.
